Winter 2026 brings RoboCon back — and this time, it shines a little brighter.
RoboCon 2026 is where the Robot Framework community meets in full force: learning together, debating ideas, building tools, and reminding ourselves why open source works best when people actually show up.
Franz Haas is an active member of the Robot Framework community who has contributed significantly to embedded and short-run hardware testing. In this post, Franz shares practical insights on distributing Robot Framework tests and RPA solutions in constrained or isolated environments — an important topic for those working beyond typical CI/CD pipelines.
Why Robot Framework works (and keeps getting better)
Let’s be blunt: open source doesn’t magically maintain itself. Someone has to pay for infrastructure, review PRs, fund development, organize the community, and make real decisions. For Robot Framework, that “someone” is the Robot Framework Foundation.
RoboCon 2025 is a wrap. Two formats — in-person in snowy Helsinki and online a few weeks later via Gather.town — and both delivered. Different energy in each, but the same feeling throughout: this community keeps showing up, sharing, and pushing things forward.
